At medical-scientific level, the Innoma project sets the following aims:
• the recruiting of healthy subjects and of patients affected by Metabolic Syndrome (MS), from whom samples of saliva and faeces will be collected;
• the metagenomic analysis, through Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology, of these samples;
• the subsequent characterization of the resident microbiota.
The data deriving from the analysis of the microbiota, together with the biochemical and instrumental data of the recruited subjects, represent the whole process and will be entered in software specifically developed in Innoma.
